the wind cried Marriot

I’m getting a bit carried away here (again). Kay the partner has gone off to a hallowe’en party (hallowe’en nowadays is just another excuse to buy new clothes and get drunk – I don’t blame the participants, I blame the ongoing repressive…oh forget it)

Back here at home I’m trawling through music vids and rediscovering delights such as ‘Worm Is Green’ (little known outside Scandinavia – why?), the Johnny Cash version of “Hurt”, Atilla The Stockbroker’s “Death of a Salesman” and “Young Marble Giants” live in New York, 1980. I saw Young Marble Giants in Leeds a month or two before this New York gig, and it’s one of the very few performances that brought me to tears.
