Finally got round to uploading my NME Popcards . (The link here is unreliable and I’m taking it down soon) They were a free front cover gift back in the early ’90s and fetch about £25 a pack on ebay, last time I looked.

Enjoy them here for nowt. I suppose it’s possible to print them out on card, trim them up….rather you than me.

PLAYING CARDS

In the early ’90s the New Musical Express gave away a pack of popcards, one suit per week, each card depicting a pop or rock icon from the ’50s to the ’90s. They fetch about 25 quid on ebay now, but the full deck is online here . Take a look at the king of diamonds.

Bill Drummond, once half of the KLF (the right half I think), now oversees the excellent penkilnburn family of websites, one being the lovely Silent Protest deck of cards. Only 6 quid, these. Bargain.

The ’80s Tarot has been threatening to be available for a year or two now – maybe soon? I was looking through for my favourite and was beginning to think I didn’t have one until I reached the seven of swords . And there’s a knitting Tarot !
